March+April 1936 She’s Still Talking to Angels

Victoria is still at it.  I rushed to transcribe April to see if I could get some resolution to what this Angel Speaker is up to.  Not yet, but Babu is holding on to both her intrigue and belief, despite warnings.

Got a letter from Veronica.  She told me of all the gifts the saints and angels brought to me.  She wrote to me that when I held her hand, the one with the cross, that I had one also, but I couldn’t see it.

Hmmmmm…

When I make or unmake my bed I say “Hail Mary” so that the angel can remove my gift until I’m finished.

I don’t understand what this means but I know it connects to the passage above.  It’s interesting how this is encouraging some superstitious and obsessive rituals.

Went to communion this morning.  Diary, I didn’t tell you about the dream I had two nights ago.  Only it wasn’t a dream.  I was awake.  A huge scintillating cross hung above me and rapidly ascended until it touched the ceiling.  I shut my eyes and it disappeared. I wonder if it was a sign.

Yeah, this begins to get a little intense.

That old man Mike that comes to see us often told us he doesn’t believe in Veronica and her visions.  “There are going to be many “Christs” he said, “but only one real one, so believe in him.”

I tempted to want to shout out: Listen to him!  (Like some Neverending Story moment.)  The warning matters not.

We went to Bondsville.  Saw Veronica.  This affair with her is getting more serious.  And it seems to be true.

  1. I hope things are well with you and Babu. I suspect maybe not since the blog has gone quiet. Sending good thoughts your way.

    1. I’m so sorry, Ilona! I did not mean to make you worry. Babu is fine! Thank you so much for your good thoughts coming my way. I’ve been away due to a combination of NANOWRIMO – I tried my hand at writing a new novel in one month – didn’t quite succeed but got a good start – and things going quite awry in the rest of my world. Even though it may take a few days to get organized for a new post – I’M BACK, BABY! Your inquiry was very sweet and validating. Thanks so much.

I just found your blog and this idea of transcribing memories is soo inspiring me! I also have many pieces of my grandmother’s life (memories, documents…) and .. well who knows! first of all what i wanna do is to start reading your grandmother’s history from the beginning!
